Southern Africa, southernmost region of the African Continent, comprising the countries, South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Lesotho and Swaziland. Animal life is abundant including the big five. And in the last few years many transfrontier parks have openend. Including Kgalagadi Transfrontier park, and the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park. The majority of the population speaks Khoisan and Bantu. Afrikaans is widely spoken and so is some German in Namibia. People from European ancestry are now a sizeable minority in South Africa.
