GENERAL INFORMATION

Oceania has traditionally been divided into four parts: Australia & New Zealand, Melanesia, Polynesia, and Micronesia This region is the smallest in land area and the second smallest in Population after Antarctica. Oceania includes more than 10,000 islands. The largest and most populous country in the region is Australia followed by New Zealand. The pacific islands are part of Polynesia and include Fiji, Kiribati Samoa, Tonga, Tahiti, Cook Islands Tuvalu and American Samoa. Melanesia includes Vanuatu, New Caladonia, Soloman islands and Nauru. Micronesia includes Palau, Guamand the Northern Mariana Islands
