officially the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, is a landlocked country with land borders to Belgium, France, and Germany. Luxembourg its small size means it is easy to do quite a lot when you visit the country (you could drive from North to South in about 1 – 2 hours) and it also means that the people here are a lot friendlier than you would typically find in much larger places. For such a small country, the different regions of Luxembourg have astonishingly varied landscapes, from the stunningly beautiful to the eerily strange. From the desolate, red-earthed landscapes of the south, to the huge, tree-lined Lake Esch-sur-Sûre; from the rows of vineyards stretching as far as the eye can see of Moselle, to the rocky cliffs and waterfalls of Mullerthal. The country has three natural parks, each of which boasts carefully conserved biodiversity riches They are all chock-full of different plants and animals, but also of unique and fascinating cultural and geographic features.
